Prélude “Grands Crus” is composed of Chardonnay (50%) and Pinot Noir (50%) exclusively selected from the top Grands Crus vineyards classified as 100% in the Champagne system.
Made from “cuvée” wines (first pressing only), this rare blend creates the finesse and structure that a fine Champagne requires for cellaring.
On the palate, it offers a perfect balance between the mineral notes of Chardonnay and the aromatic strength of Pinot Noir.
A brilliant, pale yellow colour with silver hints, a result of the high proportion of exceptional Chardonnays.
The bubbles are fine and form a persistent and delicately creamy ring of foam.
The wine is subtle and fresh on the nose. The initial mineral aromas quickly give way to green and then floral notes with the fragrance of elderflowers and spicy cinnamon notes. The palate is clean and lively, dominated by fresh citrus notes. It evolves into a full-bodied, round and silky wine with flavours of white peaches in syrup. The finish is rich lingering and bursting with flavours. Prélude “Grands Crus” is a wine that combines finesse and complexity.
Its balance of freshness and aromatic expression is outstanding.
Prélude “Grands Crus” is a cuvee that makes an excellent aperitif or accompaniment to seafood dishes.
